Waimea Valley State Park is a great place to witness the vast botanical plants, trees and flowers that abound in lush tropical areas of the Hawaiian islands. Visitors can see Ancient Hawaiian Archaeological sites and learn how this unique culture lived. Waimea Valley also boasts one of the most accessible waterfalls on the island of Oahu.
The Waimea Waterfalls are approximately 3/4 of a mile from the main visitor's center at the Waimea State Park. It's a moderate, paved hike that generally takes about 2-3 hours round trip.
