The original Side Street Inn location (Hopaka St.) opened in 1992. Local chef Colin Nishida founded what has become one of the busiest "Local-style", hole-in-the-wall restaurants on the island of Oahu. The original Side Street Inn is located just off Pensacola Ave. near the Ala Moana Shopping Center.
